"I chose to come to Lakehead University in Thunder Bay because I have always been interested in and curious about Northwestern Ontario. I felt that coming here would further introduce me to a diverse learning environment in which I was keen to learn in, and would provide me with more opportunities to get involved and be a part of the Lakehead community. The winters are cold, so be prepared for that! But no matter how cold it gets, there is always a warm and welcoming atmosphere when you walk through the doors. No matter what walk of life you come from, you will quickly learn that you are a welcomed and accepted student. People here will offer the support you need to succeed no matter what task you are trying to complete.
The Psychology program here is awesome. I love the program, the class sizes and the intimate environment. It is more personalized and you develop good relationships with the faculty members. The work is challenging, but it is also engaging and very rewarding.
My favourite Lakehead hang out is at the Outpost and for school related fun, I enjoy being a research assistant for Dr. Michael Mesher in the sensory and perception lab in the School of Nursing building.
Outside of class I enjoy spending time with the friends that I have made here in Thunder Bay and finding/attending the different events that are held in Thunder Bay throughout the year."
