Both our Thunder Bay and Orillia campuses have opportunities for you to take the next step in achieving your educational goals. Here are two ways in which you can use your past educational experience to pursue a Lakehead University degree:


1. Program-specific College Transfer Opportunities

If you are interested in furthering your education in one of the following areas, take a closer look at our specialized college transfer programs making it easy for you to complete your degree:

Business Administration/Commerce
(Accounting, Marketing, Business Economics, Business Finance, General Management, Human Resources, Information Systems, International Business)

Education

Engineering

Natural Resources Management

Social Work

2. General College Transfer Opportunities

If you are a graduate from a Community College with a two or three-year diploma and an overall average of 3.0 (70%), you may be considered for up to one year of advanced standing credit towards your degree program at Lakehead University.


Transfer credit is awarded on an individual basis and is dependent upon the diploma program's length and applicability to a degree program at Lakehead University. Check out our Transfer Credit Procedures information to learn more.

University Transfer Student

Perhaps you are seeking a specialized major in which you need to be out in your field of study, or you are looking for a great university which offers an amazing and true Northern Ontario experience; complete with a varsity hockey team, cutting-edge technology, engaging professors and a campus surrounded by beautiful outdoor wonders.

If you are a student who has successfully completed university level course work since leaving high school/college, with a minimum overall average of a C/60% or equivalent, Lakehead University awaits to hear from you!

Transfer credits may be awarded for courses in which an application has achieved a standing of at least 60% or equivalent.
